Impactful, neglected, tractable is a framework for evaluating the importance of working on a specific cause area or intervention.
Summary
Broadly, interventions should be:
- impactful -- that is, they should make a big difference to the beings that they aim to help
- neglected -- few or no people are working on them, so extra work done on the margin will be extremely significant
- tractable -- have a reasonable chance of succeeding
